During their second year, a pivotal moment occurred when Roope proposed collaborating on a precision micro vise project. Soon, they were dedicating every spare moment to meticulously milling components on an Aciera F1 machine. While Rene had long been certain of his calling in watchmaking, it was those first precise cuts on the milling machine that transformed Roope's perspective—revealing to him that the world of service and repair alone would never satisfy his creative ambitions.
